Self-published

A6, 23 x risograph printed cards, some single colour printed, some four colour printed, bound with a risograph printed cover sheet and hairbands, 2018.

‘she had work to do’ publishes a dream performed public twice in 2018. First, at Nick Lynch’s gusty Beach Show (Barrassie Beach) and again at Soft Shell with MLitt Art Writing & Creative Writing (The Poetry Club, Glasgow). Now printed and preserved in 24 loose leaf cards and wrapped up like fish n’ chips, held together with hair bands. The text describes a faintly remembered dream of visiting the oracle on behalf of a friend who was too busy to seek clarity on their fate - featuring budgies, scorpions, cucumbers, family, friends and a getaway car and spanning the uncanny shifts of tense and person, the text and accompanying stills -from a beachcomb - slip and slide like grains of sand/time.
