A5, 56 pages, black and white photocopy, saddle stitched, 2012.

Passed onto us from Joao Sobral of O Panda Gordo, 'A;ways Winter in Zahar' is one of a few from Tomé Duarte, this one is carried on his own imprint Caspablabla. I can't find a lot out about Tomé, but these zines are ZINE. They're excellent and have a raw photocopy and heavy black feel. Photographs predominantly, but also with drawings and some annotation. The smartest thing about these artist booklets is the repetition. Images are reproduced a number of times through the publication, manipulated, some aren't reproduced, but are similar, intensifying that immediacy the photocopied booklet is made for.
