COMFORTABLE ON A TIGHTROPE Dear Dora - C90 COMFORTABLE ON A TIGHTROPE MEANS everything is okay if you concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other and looking forward. This is a metaphor and our mantra. It is a love song, a lousy dance, apolitical activism for the city we call home. With generosity and thanksgiving we have welcomed the makers of our favourite music to Manchester and Salford for the last eight years. + Comfortable on a Tightrope

NICK CASH Of the Road - C20 Nick Cash has been playing drums since he was 15 years old. He has played with bands, at one time or another, such as Non Stop Walter, pray VEC, Fad Gadget and The Lines. He had his 'lucky' break when music composed with Giles Perring was taken up by The Extreme Music library 'Rhythmworx' & 'Rhythmworx2'. He has through this time continued to create artworks for his own amusement. He has collaborated with his son Nathan and his daughter Anna and is now encouraged to come out of the closet as an art maker. He states 'I cannot go on endlessly lugging drum kits around into my dotage for chumps change. Carrying a piece of paper and a pencil to work is a very attractive alternative.' + Nick Cash

There are no fixed methodologies in dealing with creation and, at its best, an entirely different tactic will be applied to every SHP number. Sleeperhold has so far worked with Ryan Gander, Daniel Eatock, Åbäke, Eric Yahnker, Jason Fulford, Beni Bischof, David Horvitz, Peter Sutherland, Moon Duo and Tropic of Cancer, amongst others. Next to these outputs Ward is also giving lectures about his design and research work. So far he was a guest at Libros Mutantes in Madrid, the Copeland Book Market in London, Future Anecdotes in Istanbul. + Ward Heirwegh

WAY THROUGH Green Lanes - C30 WAY THROUGH are a pastoral punk duo originally from Shropshire, now residing in London. Informed by the field as much as the flyover, Way Through write songs which phase in and out with guitar, tapes, damaged drums and vocals. Using wrong-footed repetition, rapid interplay and free-looping happenstance the band create a ragged yet intuitive tapestry of sound. Their songs walk the streets of market towns, wait forever at bus stops and lose themselves in edgelands. + Way Through
