The Common World was and initiative-come-installation-come-exhibition held at Common in Manchester in August 2013. Nine artists from the city came together to create their own economy and systems in which to run aspects of the venue. Issues such as failing crops, rising food prices, unequal distribution, status quo education and the consequential conflicts that arise in resolving such issues.

A clever and relevant idea, all artists are represented in this publication, compiling the points in which this world functioned for that period of time. Featuring Alan Dalby, Catherine Chialton, Chris Shearston, Daniel Russell, Des Behari, Dominic Latham, Jimmy Edmondson, John Newton and Vicky Carr.
