'From a place for sport and collectivity with socialist reminiscences, to the private luxury, erotism and exoticism of the capitalist individualism, the swimming pool has history rich in meanings, superficialities and iconography. Through this publication, Fermín Jiménez Landa goes across images of swimming pools from a cultural and anthropological perspective, stoping by little stories, and ending up at the beginning of John Cheever's short story that titles a broader project about swimming pools, roads and cartography.

This publication was the winner of the contest Concurs d'Arts Visuals Premi Miquel Casablancas, 2013.'
