From Australia a beautiful artists' book by Liang Luscombe.

Some people may state that I'm going to exaggerate here, but, I honestly believe this is one of the best artists' books we've stocked through our whole time at Good Press. Sent over to us by Fayen at 3-ply during their time over The Stool and an experiment in the extension of the role and responsibility of publisher, Liang Luscombe was an artist we knew nothing of. Her work is incredible. Her sense of style and aesthetic unbeatable.

This book encapsulates my feelings on the artists book. Its an extension of an exhibition, so could be seen by those who like categories as a catalogue. I'd challenge this as it feels whole standing alone. Texts, images of works, installation shots, video stills are all intertwined here, simply kept in the book form. Its well designed (by Liang and James Oates) with beautiful details.

The texts are heartfelt, familiar and down to earth. There are also contributions here from Angela Brennan. The works are colourful, playful and again, familiar. They have a warmth and brightness that feels natural. Everything here is just as it should be, just in the right place.
