I really love Ed Ruscha, and I also really love Michael Crowe, I ALSO really love when people take things overly literally, so the fact that Michael Crowe has made a zine about the reality of Ed Ruscha’s painting “Los Angeles County Museum on Fire” is really important for me. It’s a small, simple thing, so I don’t want to give much away, but it’s a perfect example of how artists can use zine making as a vehicle to formalise a really simple, great idea and still be really punk.
